Our Ultimate, thermal sensor is like no other available in North America. Utilizing both passive infrared (PIR) and thermal imaging technology this single sensor does what it used to take multiple sensors to accomplish.
As a wireless, network sensor the data collected by our Ultimate sensor can be shared with any any system on the network reducing the number of components in the building now and the number of components in the landfill in the future!
Traditional occupancy sensors require not only movement, but constant movement to be accurate. Almost everyone has experienced sitting still in a space with a traditional occupancy sensor and having the lights suddenly turn off, and then having to wave your hand to get them back on!
With the Ultimate, we can see that your are a human without the need for movement. The Ultimate can see your bodies heat signature and can tell the difference between a human, an animal or a piece of machinery.
Our advanced thermal detection technology can also read the ambient temperature in each space and report this information back to the HVAC system. This replaces typical single use temperature sensors.
With the ability to see each individuals heat signature we can also then count the number of people in each space. This data can then be used by the HVAC system to predict needed heating and cooling levels, monitor the usage of a space and prevent over crowding.
The Ultimate can also create heat maps showing the direction people typically move through the building, which areas they visit the most and where people stop can spend time. This data is valuable in a number of situations. In an office space, it may show that not all conference rooms are necessary. In a retail location it could show which displays are attracting the most attention.
Faster, more accurate than a smoke detector, the Ultimate can also detect the moment a fire ignites. This information can then immediately be relayed to the fire system.
