Indoor navigation usessmall Bluetooth devices, called tags, that are placed in the light fixtures in abuilding or facility. These tags emit a unique signal that can be picked up by a smartphone or other device equipped with a Bluetooth receiver. An indoor navigation app on the device can then use the signals from the tags to determine the device's location within the building and provide directions to a specific destination. The app can also use the Bluetooth signals to trigger actions or provide information about a particular location, such as displaying information about an exhibit in a museum or providing access to a locked door. This technology is useful for large indoor spaces such as airports, malls, and hospitals where GPS signal may not be reliable.
